Shollie Park is a small, family-based breeder located on the beautiful Mid North Coast of New South Wales. We're passionate about raising happy, healthy puppies in a loving home environment, with a focus on quality over quantity — always putting the wellbeing of our dogs and their pups first.

As a proud member of the Responsible Pet Breeders Australia (RPBA), we follow best practices in ethical breeding, socialisation, and animal care. Our puppies are raised in a home setting, not kennels, and are given the attention and affection they need to thrive before joining their forever families.

What is a Shollie

The Shollie is a hybrid of two highly intelligent and hardworking breeds: the German Shepherd and the Border Collie.

• The German Shepherd originated in Germany in 1899, bred for herding and protection. After WWI, its name was temporarily changed to "Alsatian" due to anti-German sentiment.
• The Border Collie hails from the farming regions of Scotland and England, where it was known as a skilled herding dog. The name comes from the Gaelic word for “sheepdog.”

While the Shollie isn’t officially recognised as a pure breed, it is acknowledged by the Dog Registry of America and the American Canine Hybrid Club, and has been known for around 20 years—though some have had these dogs for much longer without realising they had a name!

Shollies are energetic, smart, and deeply loyal. They excel in roles such as search and rescue, herding, and family companionship. They thrive in active homes, are eager to please, and usually get along well with other pets.
